JULY 2026 EDITION

MECHANIXWEAR_VALENCIA_1222_0161

HELLO TEAM

Since our last update, we've seen real momentum across the business. From the US & Canada Commercial Sales team they hit AOP for the third consecutive month, winning 60 deals totaling nearly $1M in incremental annualized new business, including exciting opportunities with BodyGuard welding apparel that could reach $1M alone. In APAC, we've been selected for a major Rio Tinto employee trial and are in discussions with SWICK, a drilling company using 200,000 pairs of gloves annually. Really Big opportunities! Japan has completed its location move adding a MW Showroom, and our EMEA team is embracing AI tools to work sharper and faster. On the operations side, KCDC reached +365 days injury-free, a testament to the safety culture we've worked hard to build. Big thanks to Cris and Jennifer and the entire team!

Beyond the numbers, this month reminded me why we do what we do. A Constellium employee's hand was protected from molten aluminum by one of our recently redesigned gloves, our Mission and Vision in action. Closer to home, I was proud to have an opportunity to personally donate gloves to a seventh-grade class from Chatsworth doing a community cleanup right in the neighborhood where our founder, use to live. Seeing the next generation show up for their community, protected by our gear, felt like exactly the kind of moment Jim Hale would have been proud of. Thank you each and everyone of you for all you do everyday and have a great 4th of July!

OUR MISSION + VISION
in Action

A Constellium employee wearing our blue high heat gloves suffered a dangerous fall with his hand going down into a molten aluminum. Thanks to our quality glove his hand was protected from what could have been a serious injury. Constellium expressed appreciation for the glove, which truly reflects our Vision and Mission! The glove that protected the end user had been recently redesigned, wear tested and launched in early Q1. Outstanding example of TeamWork on the communication with the customer and Problem Solving by Luis Uruchima on the design.

REGIONAL UPDATEs

EMEa

Across our team, Claude is being piloted and is becoming a meaningful part of how we work. Complex analyses that once took hours now take minutes. First drafts of presentations, briefs, and communications are generated in seconds, leaving more time for the thinking that actually matters: strategy, judgment, and relationships.

The biggest shift isn't speed - it's quality of the output. Having a tool that challenges assumptions, flags gaps, and proposes alternatives makes our work more rigorous before it reaches the next person.

AI won't replace expertise. But we are seeing it makes experienced people sharper.

APAC

APAC has been shortlisted for a major Rio Tinto impact glove trial with our SpeedKnit™ M-Pact® Eco – Cut F (SD5EP-08), a significant opportunity to re-establish Mechanix Wear within the mining and resources sector. We are also working with SWICK, a major drilling company, to trial the same product, with one division alone using approximately 200,000 pairs of gloves annually, representing strong long-term potential and continued cross-functional collaboration.

In Taiwan, Go Harlock is finalising contract negotiations with distributor Apex to support a sizeable Fed/Tac opportunity, further strengthening our regional distributor network. Additionally, Chris Isaia has completed his probationary period and continues to demonstrate strong commercial capability and positive impact within the APAC team.

The region remains focused on building momentum, strengthening partnerships, and converting the significant opportunities in front of us.

JAPAN

Team Japan moved into this new premise last year but have now completed our first ’MW Showroom’ kit-out. It’s a simple space but acts as not only a place for our team to work, but also an environment where we can showcase the strength of our brands hands-on in an experiential environment. We have several work benches and tools ready to use so that buyers and customers can test out our glove range in a variety of practical ways (and compare the difference to cheaper / lesser alternatives). We also have the ability to sell direct to visitors with items shipping to them from warehouse next day.

We’re still working on the kit-out - would love to feature a wheel change station like HQ used to have - but moving forward we intend to use the space for a variety of events such as product launches and demo days. This will help support the ongoing growth trajectory and help embed Mechanix Wear as the protective gear of choice in our markets.

Mechanix Wear
In The Wild

On a sunny Wednesday morning, a seventh-grade class from a Chatsworth middle school fanned out across a local neighborhood with trash bags, rakes, and a shared sense of purpose—their community service project was officially underway. Students wore Mechanix Wear gloves personally donated by CEO Jesse Spungin, gripping tools and hauling debris with the kind of protection the brand was built to provide. It felt especially meaningful knowing that Jim Hale, founder of Mechanix Wear, started his first company (AXO Sport America) right there in Chatsworth, where his entrepreneurial journey first began.

As the kids raked leaves and cleared weeds from a neglected corner park, their teacher reminded them that Hale had walked these same streets before building companies recognized around the world. By the time they finished, the neighborhood gleamed a little brighter, and it seemed like Jim Hale would have been proud to see Mechanix Wear still showing up for the Chatsworth community that helped shape his journey.
