WHAT's New
INSIDE MECHANIX WEAR
- In October, Mechanix Wear and Kinco unified hardware channel representation under one rep firm - Creeden - strengthening integration, maximizing efforts, and accelerating growth. A successful kickoff meeting was held October 20-21 at Mechanix Wear Kansas City.
- The Japan team scored a major win with our MG-02 featured prominently in popular group Number_i’s latest music video, which has already hit over 16 million views!
-
The KC Warehouse achieved 100% On-Time Delivery and 95.29% In-Full for Walmart OTIF Week 36 (Oct 4–10, 2025).
- The KC Warehouse has significantly improved from earlier-quarter averages of 73.51% on-time and 86.21% in-full, now leading our distribution network in consistency and reliability.
- Mechanix Wear secured a major private label partnership with Grainger and Sunbelt Rentals, delivering two custom high-spec gloves that meet SBR’s safety, branding, and procurement requirements across 1,500+ branches and 21,000 employees.
- This strategic alliance generated explosive growth, reaching 120,108 pairs / $1M in 2025 revenue (vs. $252K in 2024), while opening the door for expanded PPE opportunities within Sunbelt Rentals.
- A unique and inspiring grassroots art movement has emerged around our Kinco gloves—especially the iconic 901T mitts—as fans and artists transform these rugged ski and workwear staples into stunning canvases for creativity. Checkout #customkincos on social to see what consumers are creating!
- A handful of our Kinco style numbers were named after Kindler-family birthdays. Bruce, Sherie, Travis, and Crissy all had “birthday gloves” back in the day, but only Crissy’s has survived the test of time. The “1927” represents, 9/27 or September 27th – Crissy’s birthday.
- We receive scrap leather from Danner boots (who is our neighbor across the street) to make some of the cross-patches of our Welch suspenders. Upcycling what would be thrown away, and sourcing FREE material for us!
- Diana Welch purchased the family business from her father on October 1, 1996 and Travis purchased it from her on October 1, 2019 – 23 years to the day.

FUELING GROWTH:
Mechanix Wear Debuts at the NACS Show
Mechanix Wear made its debut at the NACS Show in Chicago, the largest Convenience, Travel Center, and Gas Station trade show in North America. This year’s event, held October 14–17, drew a record 25,000 attendees from over 73 countries, making it an incredible opportunity to showcase our brand to a new audience.
As part of our expanding focus on the Travel Center and C-store segment, this show marked an exciting milestone for the team. In just the past year and a half, we’ve entered this new channel and already secured placement with Love’s, Kent Kwik, and Huck’s—a strong foundation to build upon.
Throughout the four-day event, our booth generated significant interest, leading to over 30 high-quality leads and valuable conversations with key decision-makers across the industry. The response to our products and brand story was overwhelmingly positive, reinforcing that there’s strong demand for Mechanix Wear within this growing market.
Our successful debut at NACS reflects the team’s strategic efforts to expand into new retail spaces and reach customers wherever they work or travel. We look forward to continuing to grow our presence in this channel and strengthening relationships with new partners.
Japan Team Lands Product Feature in Number_i Music Video
Big news from our Japan team! One of the standout moments in recent months has been our major placement in the latest music video from hugely popular group Number_i. If you haven’t seen it yet (it was shared on Teams recently), our MG-02 takes center stage throughout the video — and the results have been amazing.
The video has already surpassed 16 million views in under two months, giving massive exposure to our brand. On top of that, Number_i’s supporting Instagram posts have racked up hundreds of thousands of likes — for example, this post alone has 142k likes!
This feature is helping introduce MG-02 to a whole new generation of fans and showcases the creativity and collaboration driving our Japan team’s success.
Strategic Private Label Partnership Secured:
Long-term Grainger & Sunbelt Rentals alliance drives major growth opportunity
The Challenge:
Sunbelt Rentals needed high-quality, durable private-label gloves that met strict safety, color, and branding requirements—along with a reliable supply chain that could support 1,500+ branches. The crowded glove market meant we had to deliver a differentiated, high-value solution.
Our Solution:
Mechanix Wear developed two new high-spec private-label gloves tailored to SBR’s needs and built a coordinated go-to-market plan with Grainger and Sunbelt Rentals. Through this alliance, SBR could order the gloves through their existing Grainger supply chain, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and smooth nationwide distribution.
Results:
This partnership delivered major growth: 120,108 pairs / $1M in revenue for 2025, up from $252K in 2024. The success of the program has also opened the door for additional PPE approvals within Sunbelt Rentals.
Why We Won:
We combined custom product innovation with a strong multi-channel partnership, offering SBR unmatched reliability, quality, and procurement efficiency, cementing a long-term strategic relationship.
