It has been a busy and rewarding period across APAC, with strong customer engagement, operational achievements, and plenty to celebrate.
Thank you to Steve Goodhue and the team for their work on the Bunnings Employee Safety Tender, and to Chris Isaia and Gary Craig for their continued efforts on the nationwide Rio Tinto trials. Our commercial accounts team, Gary, Chris, and Courtney Wilson, has also received excellent feedback from key customers and distributors for their product knowledge, service, and support.

We also farewell Jun Atsumi, Mechanix Wear Japan’s first local market hire, and thank him for his resilience and commitment during a challenging period. We wish him all the best in his next chapter.
A special thank you to Go Harlock for successfully leading the recent Japan audit, which was passed with only minor observations. And now, Go shifts gears to manage another office move!
Thank you also to Marcus for his continued leadership in strengthening operations and collaboration across teams, including his support of the Japan audit and operations team.

EMEA
1) Recent event:
The EMEA team met in Barcelona the last week of September to kick off 2027 planning, with colleagues joining from the UK, Italy, France, Germany and the Czech Republic.
2) Small, but strategic win:
Permanent display now live at the Gendarmerie's National Training Centre
The French Gendarmerie is a 100,000-strong police force with military status, policing most of French territory. Nearly every gendarme passes through its national training centre for tactical and public order courses — and we now have a large permanent standing display inside it.
This is where end users form their first opinion on kit, long before a tender opens. Trainees handle the product, instructors recommend it, and the units they return to place the orders.
The nearest equivalents: FLETC in Georgia, which trains 90+ US federal agencies, and the Australian Federal Police College in Canberra.
JAPAN
Our organization successfully completed its first external audit by Japanese Customs last week.
On the surface, this may seem like a dry administrative process, but the risks of being found non-compliant were potentially very significant. A multilateral team came together to support the preparation and execution of the two-day audit. Our company values were on full display, as our commitment to teamwork and doing things the right way helped us achieve a very positive outcome.
A special thank you to Damione, Kevin, Marcus, Ryan, Daniel, and everyone else who contributed to the preparation and execution throughout the process. Their collaboration and dedication were instrumental in ensuring a successful audit.
Right in the heart of Tokyo, a world first flagship store for the brand, Mechanix Wear SHIBUYA PIT will be open to the public Nov 2. View this new space below.
